The fishtail plait, also known as the herringbone or fish bone braid, looks elaborate, but is surprisingly easy to do
Brush your hair to the side.
Part your hair into two sections.
Hold a section in each hand.
Swap uneven sections from left to right, and then right to left, holding the hair tightly.
Use smaller sections of hair further down the plait.
Tie near the end of your hair.
Go up the braid, gently pulling the sections for volume.
Add shine, scent and hold with a hair balm such as Shine So Bright, smoothing the unbraided ends and then gently stroking onto sections.
