Incense Candles - Product Recall Notice

INCENSE CANDLES

 

INHALE (PLU 6156), EXHALE (PLU 6157), VANILLA BRULEE (PLU 6155), THE VOICE OF REASON (PLU 6158)

What's happened: It has been brought to our attention that in the event the flame comes into contact with the bamboo casing for an extended period of time the bamboo could ignite. 

Whilst we have not been able to recreate this situation in testing, as a precautionary measure we are asking that all candles bought from our Oxford Street shop on 23rd, 24th & 25th April 2015 be returned for a full refund.

What you should do: Return your candle to your nearest Lush store, or to LUSH Customer Care, Unit 22-23 Dolphin Quays, Poole, Dorset, BH15 1HU for a full refund.  Any queries please call 01202 668545 or email [email protected]

Why not just put a warning on the packaging? So sad that common sense seems to be dying out among the general public. Nice to see a natural product being used.

Oh I thought that the candles were an extremely good idea and they looked quite appealing. A bit disappointing but I hope they come back out soon.

I'd buy one but Id just get a knife out, slide it around the candle and then put it in a glass candle holder or a candle holder. Once you have bought the product, it generally is yours to do with what you want. It takes up customers time to return items and often money as they might not live near a shop and they will have to purchase a replacement. Maybe Lush should offer to post them a recycled glass candle holder, problem solved. They can use the bamboo pot for bath items or pencils etc.
