The Mighty Shampoo Bar

Economical, naked and self-preserving; what’s not to love about solid shampoo bars? Small but perfectly formed, these long-lasting, light bundles of shampoo are ideal for travelling. A single bar could take you around the world in 80 washes, but why wait until you’re going on holiday to use them?

 Bottles versus bars

These highly-concentrated handfuls, packed with powerful natural ingredients and essential oils, do the job of three 250g bottles of liquid shampoo. Each mighty bar gives you 80-100 washes (depending on hair shape, thickness and length) and is a lot lighter and slimmer than a shampoo bottle.

You create a smaller carbon footprint when washing with these compact latherers too; one lorry full of solid shampoo bars holds roughly the same number of washes as fifteen lorries filled with liquid shampoo!

How to use

Wet your hair.

Stroke your shampoo bar over your hair it a few times to lather it up, or rub the bar between your hands to create a lather.

Gently massage it into the scalp and hair, as you would with a liquid shampoo.

Rinse out and condition if your hair would like a little extra loving.

Leave the bar out to air dry, ready for its next use.

Something for everyone

It's important to us that everyone can have their perfect hair day everyday. So whether you need an extra dash of moisture, like your hair to feel squeaky clean, are trying to encourage new growth and anything inbetween, you'll find a shampoo bar to fit your needs.

Why not give one a whirl and share your thoughts with us on [email protected]? If you want to learn more about the creation of the unique and resourceful solid shampoo bar, check out the book ‘Danger! Cosmetics To Go’.

Just logged on to order more Karma Shampoo Bars. I know they are not stocked in store anymore, but thought I could order on line, as I did before. I'm so, so disappointed that they have been discontinued. My little store of bars is now no more..... Was going to order another half a dozen. Loved the smell and how it made my hair feel after washing.......

I am also VERY disappointed. I just went online to order several Karma Kombu shampoo bars and they've been discontinued. Please bring them back. They are my favourite and I don't use anything else. I've tried other shampoo bars but Karma Kombu is the best. My hair is going into mourning :-(

I have also been using Karma Shampoo bar for years, just love everything about it - so upset that it's been discontinued... Can you give me a reason why please? A member of your staff said something about it's green colour fading under shop lights - I really don't care what colour it is - love the smell and the way it makes my hair shiny.
