#NameAndSave - Your chance to name a Hen Harrier chick

Last year Lush customers raised £120,000 to help stop the illegal killing of Hen Harriers - one of the UK's rarest birds. As a thank you for your continued support, Lush and the RSPB are giving you a chance to name one of this year's hen harrier chicks as part of our #NameAndSave competion.

In 2014 Lush launched a national petition to stop the illegal persecution of Hen Harriers in the uplands of England. During the campaign 20,000+ postcards were signed by Lush customers, which were then hand delivered to Buckingham Palace.

With the situation still in dire straights in 2015, Lush invented a brand new product to raise funds for the RSPB’s Hen Harrier LIFE project, which sees the UK’s largest conservation charity satellite tag Hen Harrier chicks across the country.

After being named by TV presenter and environmental campaigner Chris Packham, Skydancer – Far From The Madding Guns bath bomb was launched, and over the following nine months raised an incredible £120,000.

The RSPB have provided an update here.

To be in with a chance of winning simply think of a name (please nothing offensive) that you feel encapsulates this magnificent bird, then click the link below to submit your idea. We’ll be in touch if you’re the winner.

The competition will run from midday on August 6, to midday August 11, 2016. Any entries received after this date will not be included.

The winning name will be picked by TV presenter and environmental campaigner Chris Packham and officially announced on The Glorious Twelfth (August 12) - the official opening of the grouse shooting season

As well as having their entry chosen as the official name of one of this year’s chicks, the winner will also receive a picture of the hen harrier and a signed copy of Chris Packham’s new book Fingers in the Sparkle Jar.
