Stimulating and brightening
Mango is a large, evergreen tree, thought to have originated in the Indo-Burma region and now grown throughout the world. It has been cultivated for over six thousand years.
It bears small, fragrant yellow or red flowers that develop into succulent fruit, which forms a vital food source for millions of people in the tropics. Mango has a multitude of culinary uses, from being eaten fresh – either in its raw, bitter green form with salt, or when ripe as a dessert fruit. The stone is valuable for creating mango kernel butter.
Mangoes are an excellent source of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants - calcium, potassium, vitamin A, E and C and several B vitamins. In fact, it's one of the most nutritious foods in the world.
We love to use pulped fresh mango because it is stimulating, antioxidant, antibacterial and brightening on the skin. It's also a very cheerful, yellowy-orange in colour and adds bulk and texture to our products.
