Deep and invigorating

The Good Hour

Deep and invigorating
the-good-hour-spa-treatment

70 minutes of full-body, deep-tissue massage to set you free from long-term areas of tension.

A firm pair of hands rings out tension in time to the music, stretching and straightening you on the tide. Sea shanties fill the air, low and haunting before a gentle crescendo, always tempered by the steady pressure of your therapist’s hands grounding your body.

Hands anchor and align you. Ripples of pressure are soothed with layers of hot and cold, unfurling your limbs like sails in the wind. Stretch, refresh and emerge revived from the sea.

What to expect:

Full-body, deep-tissue massage treatment using trigger point techniques and jelly discs.

Uses medium to hard pressure depending on your preference.

What you'll love:

Delivers relief from knots and reawakens the muscles.

Particular attention paid to long-term areas of tension enabling you to feel more flexible.

Be free in body and mind.

Music:

The music for this treatment fuses folk music with heave-ho sea shanties. There is more than a metaphorical connection between hauling rope and kneading tense muscles in the body; the soundtrack to the intensive Good Hour treatment is a collection of seamen’s songs recorded in the 50s and 60s.

What you want to know:

Duration: 70 minutes long with approximately a 15-minute consultation.

State of undress: Down to your underwear, beneath a cosy towel to protect your modesty.

Why rush? Arrive for your treatment 10 minutes early to feel relaxed from the start.

Buy a voucher online then phone up your local Lush Spa to book your treatment or purchase a voucher in one of our stores. Please note: spa voucher cards purchased in the UK are only redeemable in the UK.

I didnt have any idea what I was getting myself into when I booked this treatment. But, I am glad I did. The experience was just gorgeous. I won't go into detail about the treatment because I don't want to ruin the fun. But, I will say that after the treatment, it felt like I had been on a boat travelling over the open seas for an hour. I left feeling refreshed....

Just a head's up for anyone considering booking this treatment, get a voucher for it by the end of this month! I have booked my treatment for end of April but was going to pay on the day and the lovely lady at the Bath Spa called me up today to advise I should get a voucher for it now, because the price will increase to £110 per person from the 1st of March! So I will go and grab my voucher for it next week to save myself £20 per person. If you read this before the 1st of March, keep this in mind!
