If you’re on a crusade for a healthier scalp, whether it's sore, suffers from dandruff or is itchy and flakey, look no further than this expert treatment. Superbalm is packed with coconut oil, candelila wax and soothing essential oils to give maximum attention to scalps in distress. It also has salicylic acid, a safe synthetic beta hydroxyl acid, which acts to clear and press that reset button on the scalp. Salicylic acid is a common ingredient found in aspirin as a pain reliever, and is a plant hormone that can also be found in the bark of the willow tree.

How to use: Using your fingertips, massage a small amount onto targeted areas of your scalp (rather than your whole head of hair) and leave it for about 20 minutes before rinsing out the excess. Then shampoo and condition as usual.  In some cases you may still feel a waxiness on the scalp. Don’t worry, this is the product doing its job and will clear over a couple of days.

As a sufferer of eczema on my scalp, this has worked wonders ! After years of faffing with different shampoos and treatments, nothing has worked as quickly as quickly as this ! The smell isn’t off-putting and you get a lot of product for your money. It is a greasy formula and while washing the product out I’ve found that...

This product is amazing. I have had really bad problems with itch, scaly and flaky scalp and tried just about everything from anything you can get in the supermarket to prescription shampoos and steroid creams. Nothing worked long term for me and it took a couple of weeks every time to work and then i would have to reapply the treatments pretty much every day.

I used this a few years ago when I was looking for alternatives to steroids based treatments for my scalp psoriasis and I didn't find it very effective at all but an employee at the Oxford St store suggested it recently and it's been amazing.

I tend to massage a layer of this into my scalp at night and leave on overnight (or even throughout the next day if I'm staying in and can put off washing my hair). It's a wonderful alternative to steroids based treatments especially because I use some of the most potent ones which end up giving me perioral dermatitis.

Superbalm definitely works - it soothes scalp, it mends all red itchy spots and eczema, but its texture is a torture to clean it. I was trying to wash it away literally 4 times in a row, still some wax was left on my hair. It's so pity that this product has such texture, because I liked its effect and incredible lavender scent. Still I would recommend it as a great ointment if you have eczema or psoriasis on scalp, it will help (my friend with such problem likes this balm) but it will be pretty hard to wash away.
