I've always been stuck for facial moisturisers because my face can be both dry and greasy at times. So when I saw this was for skins that can't make up their mind, I thought I'd give it a go. I'm so pleased I did, my skin feels smooth and hydrated, not greasy as it soaks in wonderfully. I'd recommend this...
- Lavender Flower Infusion
- Mullein Leaf Infusion
- Orange Flower Water
- Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Stearic Acid
- Fair Trade Shea Butter
- Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter
- Cetearyl Alcohol
- Orange Flower Absolute
- Brunello Lily Petals
- St Johns Wort Extract
- Elderflower Extract
- Sweet Violet Extract
- Sunflower Petal Extract
- Alkanet Extract
- DRF Alcohol

I was in the market for a new moisturiser. Something natural that would make me feel nourished but not too greasy.
Having looked at the list of ingredients on plenty of other brands, I wasn't happy with all the crazy lists of chemicals.
Like many of the Lush moisturisers, this one is packed with oils, so anyone who thinks a bunch of natural oils might upset their skin; keep this in mind.
I initially did what everyone does, scooped out a blob of it and went to town. Don't. This moisturiser is so nourishing that you only need to dip the tiniest dot on all fingertips and that's truly enough.

I've bought Imperialis several times in the past, but wasn't near a LUSH shop while at university so had to look into other moisturisers for a few years. I have quite oily skin on my face, but I find it still needs a moisturiser otherwise it feels a bit tight. I was happy enough with my moisturiser from another brand, made specifically for oily/combination skin, however with the weather getting colder I noticed my skin was getting drier and the moisturiser wasn't helping. Now that I'm home, I was able to pop into my local LUSH shop and pick up a pot of Imperialis.Read More

I'm writing this review because I've used Imperialis for months and finally finished using it up on my legs so as not to waste the rest of the pot. It's absolutely destroyed my face and I'm having to go to the dermatologist several times in order to get steroids and products to fix this mess.
Imperialis is first off highly scented and caused extreme irritation to my facial skin. Secondly it's comedogenic and gave me a difficult to treat form of acne. My skin (face/neck) is so incredibly sensitive and sore that I can barely wipe it off with water.
