I just tried the Road from Damascus in the Lush store in Paddington. I’m a huge fan of rose scents - this is absolutely gorgeous! This is a powdery floral, slightly honey and woody in tone and not too sweet - this rose scent is perfect. Now I’m hoping Lush will make this in a smaller bottle as the big size is understandably, super expensive and I couldn’t buy it for this reason. Lush please please make this perfume in the next size down bottle. I love it!!!

I’ve noticed a few comments about this perfume being too expensive. As a person who has spent years making natural perfumes from essential oils, concretes, and absolutes, what I can tell you is that what most people believe to be “top of the line” name brand expensive perfumes from department stores are made up of “fragrance “ water, and alcohol. Unfortunately “Fragrance” contains hundreds and even thousands of chemicals, many of which are known carcinogens, neurotoxins, endocrine disruptors, ect- and none of which are beneficial to your health.

I bought this online without testing as I love rose and violet scents, and love Lush's Kerbside Violet. However, they are completely overpowered by orange flower here, a strong jasminey neroli scent. Not at all what I was expecting and quite disappointing. Maybe it's a rogue bottle but no way to return in a pandemic.
